Gravatar We went to the big easy a long time ago. It was fun. I wouldn't be in the city after nightfall though...

Gravatar Pammy,
I hope you get to go and have a fabulous time. It looks lovely.
Jennifer

Gravatar While you're looking for Ray Nagin's balls, be sure to drink a Sazerac. Or several.

Gravatar Ahhhh, N'Orleans. My favorite place to hang out and party and sing karaoke and drink ungodly amounts of alcohol day and night..

Yes, that city holds dear to my heart. I hope you guys get to go!

And I think it should definitely be your HONEYMOON!

I'll get mine eventually too.

Gravatar Have you been to Charleston, South Carolina? While nothing can be another New Orleans, Charleston is special in its own right. But the weather is just as hot.

Gravatar We spent a day there in January and have vowed to go back. Beautiful!

Gravatar We probably won't be travelin too far afield after dark, Mark. The nice thing about the Villa Convento, besides the ambience, is that it's only 2 blocks from Decatur Street, The French Market and Cafe DuMonde, and only 3-4 from the Quarter.

Elisson, I plan to have at least two Sazerac's. And maybe a Hurricaine. But prolly not on the same day. heh

Diva, I loved 'Nawlins the first time I laid eyes on 'er. Been there three times now.

BB, no we haven't had the pleasure of visitin Charleston. But it's on my list of places I wanna see. Along with Savannah...and New England...and Texas...and....

It IS a beautiful city, Jeep. The Garden District is absolutely awesome.

Gravatar We were in New Orleans just last weekend. The FQ is pretty much 'back to normal'...we were in the quarter until about midnight. We went there a year after Katrina, and definitely did not stay past sundown. But now, it's okay. Or as okay as NOLA can be!
