Not surprisingly, I totally disagree.

Nicely said, Bean. Very nicely said.

Thank you, Paul!

Well done my good man/woman, well done! FYI on my letters to Finstein & Boxer, haven't heard from them. I emailed them before & gotten email responses telling me, at least, they've received them. Let the revolution begin!

Agree that her public image is largely cast in concrete at this point. She can triangulate all she likes, but at the end of the day, she won't win.

Completely agree, Oddjob - and 'Bean WOW kick as* letter!

Thanks for publishing, Pam.

Rock on! Yank the money purse out from under these turncoats! That's the only way you can get their attention. We are a financially-formidable group, and we should only support those who do, not just promise to, support us. Bill promised too and look what happened! Pffft!

Well done Bean babe, well done ... we need people that stand up and won't take shite like this!!

Whoever thought the Clintons were friends of the gay and lesbian community were delusional. Hello? DOMA anyone?

How can Hillary, who's annoying but not an imbecile, not get it? If you have a match-up between a centrist-triangulated-wannabe-lite Republican and a REAL Republican, guess who's going to win?

What especially gauls me is that if Hillary got a notarized statement signed by God saying she can't win in 2008, she would still run.

Thank you for all the support, folks, but do remember it was the Empire State Pride Agenda head, Executive Director Alan Van Capelle, who told sHillary to go get stuffed.

I just wrote Van Capelle (and copied sHillary's office) and said, "Hey! I support you for telling Clinton to get stuffed!"

Granted, I also indirectly offered Van Capelle a freebie makeout session because I was so happy someone in the NY GLBT community finally noticed that both Clintons have really not treated us well - we get lip-service and an open hand reaching for our wallets . . . and nothing in return.

We all need to back those who back us day-to-day life GLBT folks. Without the appropriate organizations (and the people who lead them) that are NOT a part of the massive Liberal Failure Support Organizations (LFSOs; and I'm thinking of failures like John Kerry - still shilling for cash using, of all things ALITO, if you can believe it; or HRC), we'd be in much worse shape than we are, as tough as that may be to embrace.

So here is to Mr. Van Capelle, who well-deserves our respect AND money because he finally had the nerve to say, "Hey! Quit screwing us over!"

All I did was applaude as loudly as I possibly could.

Great points.... There is no reason gays should give Hillary Clinton a penny. If she wants to talk about DOMA, then let's give it back and point out what pathetic values are there in her and Bill's marriage?

Absolutely, Bean!!! And that is a movement that needs to go from city to city and from state to state until these middle of the road, wannabe clowns get the picture.

I hate to be a wetblanket....
but i have always liked hillary and i've always wanted her to become president.

I still do.
(shrug)

I dumped my membership of MoveOn.org when they reported false information that Jon Corzine (now Governor of NJ)supports same sex marriage during the last election cycle. He stated in the debates he does not support our right to marry.

I asked MoveOn to retract the false statement and they never did.

Tom,

I'm working with my LOCAL MoveOn chapter - NOT with National.

National may tell us to screw ourselves for what we are doing - but truthfully?

We don't give a fuck (yep - typed "fuck" on the internet).

Actually, Jay, from you?

I'm a bit shocked.

As often as you assert you wish you had the right to marry your mate, I would have thought you would have considered Clinton's support-and-continuing-defense of DOMA as well as both her (1) slippery stance on civil unions and (2) outright opposition to marriage personal affonts.

But, then, I did not realize you were in favor of her other prgressive policies such as the Iraq war, invading Iran, CAFTA . . .

Ooops - never mind!

cheers, bean,

and right after I read that other post I went to van Capelle's website and emailed him a kiss. He's CUTE!

I knew I was giving my money to the right organizations, Empire Pride, GLSEN, etc.

Good job and good luck, 'Bean!

Excellent letter!

I'm looking forward to hearing more about the sHillary "NO!" campaign.

DOMA anyone?

Donica, let's not forget the other F*** you to gays that Clinton, I don't have CONJONES even when I'm president, gave us: "Don't Ask, Don't Tell!"

Meanwhile, Minnesota, great point!
" If she wants to talk about DOMA, then let's give it back and point out what pathetic values are there in her and Bill's marriage?"

If the latest poll showed 63% said Hillary should throw Chelsea down a flight of stairs... well, I'd be quite nervous if I were Chelsea.

Juan and henway;

All I have to say is this:

Yes.

Heh!

If the latest poll showed 63% said Hillary should throw Chelsea down a flight of stairs... well, I'd be quite nervous if I were Chelsea.

Wait, it's not funny when we're the ones being thrown down the stairs.

'Bean -
I am, as I type, giving you a standing O. You're a truly great human being!

Nice note, Bean. And I hope you sent them some kale, too.

It is so nice to be of like minds here, folks...and thanks again, 'Bean!
