Does your brother-in-law realize that Obama is a 1st generation American...who is more foreign than he is American?
Has he seen the pictures of Obama's completely foreign family...none of whom are American citizens...and none of who have ever lived in the United States?

Is your brother-in-law really ready to vote for Kofi Annan in disguise...er I mean Obama.
Does your brother-in-law want to turn our country into a puppet of the UN...which regularly denounces Israel for fighting Islamic terrorists?
IT'S A FACT THAT OBAMA IS MORE FOREIGN THAN HE IS AMERICAN.
I'LL BE VOTING FOR A PRESIDENT WHO IS 100 PERCENT AMERICAN.
Obama's wife is 100 percent American...but Obama is not...and she has more right be running for president than Barack.

Please tell your brother-in-law the facts about Obama's foreign background and just how new Obama is to the United States.
Please tell your brother-in-law the truth about how the liberals are pushing Obama...to make the United States a puppet of Kofi Annan and the UN.
Please tell your brother-in-law the real reason why the Democrats overlooked the smartest and most experienced candidates of Richardson and Edwards...and went straight for a guy who is mostly foreign.
Ask your brother-in-law if he is really ready to put a guy who is at least 80 percent foreign...in charge of the United States.

McCain was born in the Canal Zone, which was never part of the United States. When Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961, it was already the 50th State in the Union. His mother and maternal grandparents were from Kansas.
McCain lived in Southeast Asia involuntarily for five and a half years. Obama also lived in Southeast Asia involuntarily (Indonesia), but only for four years (from ages six to ten).
Three of my four grandparents were born in what was Germany at that time. Does that make me 75% foreign? I lived for 9 years in Germany and one year in Poland. Does that make me (a native of upstate New York) more foreign than someone never left the United States?
I can think of a number of reasons not to vote for Barack Obama for Presdient, but puh-leez ... He's as American as I am!

My family...on both sides...has been in this country...since before the Civil War...over 150 years.
British/European-mix on my dad's side...and German on my mother's side.
My mother's family had some folks drafted to fight for the Confederacy...but my mother's family was middle class...and they never owned slaves...to the best of our knowledge...and her father actually researched that.

Compared to probably 99 percent of the white or Hispanic or black people I know...Obama is just off the boat...when it comes to being American...and having roots in this country.
And the fraud that Democrats are trying to pull in portraying him as the All-American boy...bothers me deeply.
The way the Democrats conveniently ignored the smartest and most experienced candidates of Richardson and Edwards...
And the way Obama refuses to be an American...by refusing to pledge to the flag...
Smell like a liberal America hater...
And that in turn...smells like Kofi Annan and the UN.

west-texan,
I hope you'll forgive me if I'm not particularly impressed by your pedigree. I think genealogy is an interesting pursuit, but what your ansestors did or didn't do (or where they did or didn't do it) isn't a reliable predictor of what kind of a person the current generation will produce.
Using your criteria, the first generation Japanese-American Nisei of the 442nd "Go For Broke" Regimental Combat Team were "just off the boat," yet their patriotism as Americans was above reproach. The same could be said of the Nisei linguists who translated Japanese communications during World War II.
Yet based on their surnames, many of the traitors of the Cold War (e.g. Aldrich Ames, John Walker, Robert Hanssen) would seem to come from a lineage not unlike your own.

What really bothers me most...is how the Democrats aren't being honest about his family...and how new he is to America.
His liberal pedigree also bothers me...especially when I see what sort of left-wingnuts are pushing him.
It all smells really bad and suspicious how the Democrats completely overlooked the smartest and most experienced candidates of Richardson and Edwards...and went straight an inexperienced kid who is mostly foreign.
Like I've said before...I think Kofi Annan and the Muslim terrorists are just salivating over getting a foreign infiltrator in as our president.
See how none of the liberal bunch around here will even comment on why the Dems went for this inexperienced Obama clown instead of the prime candidates of Richardson and Edwards...

Why?
Because I looked at your profile...and we've met.
Back in like 1987 or 1988...in the old CIS Prime lab at WTSU.
You may have gone to Caprock...with a guy named Powell.

LOL! Trust me, it's really me! I've just never had much use for xenophobia. Living overseas doesn't make you a foreigner anymore than eating at McDonald's makes you a hamburger.
Having spent a decade in Europe makes me all the more appreciative of my native U.S. of A. It also makes me very suspicious of big government.

Marvin wrote the famous WT pasword snatching program in the lab.
It exactly simulated the login screen for the Prime...and saved user names and passwords to a file...and then logged the person in...without them ever knowing something strange was going on.
He got asked to please never do that again...and to please not tell anyone how he did it.

As I have read the continuing, and often incoherent, diatribes by WT, I have sat back with amusement, wonder and finally disgust. I actually began to believe he/she was a plant by the left to post any hairbrained thought that some of the nuts on the right might believe. How better to diminish the other side than to put on a red nose, some face paint and outlandish clothes and place a big elephant pin on the lapel?
However, I am sadly becoming convinced of the following:
1. A college education, which WT has made sure we know about, does not mean one has the ability to communicate, listen, or learn.
2. Although I like to write off the fringe of the right (militias, bible thumpers, etc), there are many elements represented by WT that are beliefs of many.
3. 60 percent of the country resides in the middle, but we are not represented as both parties are controlled by elements on the far side of their respective ideaology.
I could argue the points weakly and repetitively made by WT, but why? God bless his God-given right to say what he wants. But as Lubbock said to its hometown girl Natalie, I don't have to listen.
I think it is important to say again that the vast majority of America is in the middle. We believe that everyone, even the newest arrival on our soil, has the same rights to achieve prosperity as someone with WT's pedigree.

moderately bewildered said: "I think it is important to say again that the vast majority of America is in the middle."
The conflict is in defining the middle. The right dragged the perception of the middle their way for the last 20 years, based off God, guns, gays and abortion. It was a great coupe on their part to get people to actively vote against their own self interest.

Isn't that the root of all politics? What does each party need to say to move that middle to their side. Of course many on the right would argue that issues you listed are within their own self interest.

This is a point I've been making for years. When I became eligible to vote in 1973, I was solidly in the center, leaning perhaps just a little bit to the left. I haven't really significantly changed my outlook on a whole lot of things, but I'm now considered to be solidly on the left, and by many Republicans, to be an absolute moonbat.
AA is absolutely right. It's to the Right's credit that they've been able to move the center the way they have. I think we may be at the beginning of a correction, though.

Taking guns away from everyone...but the criminals is in the public's best interest?
Yeah sure...whatever.
Abortion used as birth control...and supporting sexual perverts like gays...are in no one's interest.
None of those things are in the public interest.
Speaking of guns and gays...I'm sure some in the Catholic Church would love to shoot some gays for all the trouble and boy molesting they did in the Catholic Church.
The way the looney left wants to take guns away from everyone but the criminals...and support sexual perverts...it turns most normal people away from the Democrats.
Most normal people think gays suck...literally...no pun intended...and don't want their children around them.
And most normal people don't believe in taking guns away from everyone but the criminals.
The Democratic party went off the deep left end...and turned most normal people off.
YOU GUYS ARE GOING SO FAR LEFT...YOU THINK THE MIDDLE IS THE FAR RIGHT.

But all you have to do is look at all the trouble the Catholic Church had with gays molesting boys...
To know that gays are BAD news.

You idiot!! It has nothing to do with gender of the victim . It has to do with pedophilia. By far the number of pedophiles are men abusing young girls. Your lack of knowledge is spectacular WT and is reflected in your obscene opinions. I'm sorry I read your post. I had been ignoring them as they are so assanine. And by the way,why did you not comment on my response regarding undocumented aliens paying income tax? You were proven to be wrong and you can't even admit when you are. The recent raid by ICE netting 700 undocumented aliens was based on information indicating they were employed using false social security numbers. They were paying taxes, income and medicare, as well as paying social security taxes.
I will go back to ignoring you and not reading your posts. You are not worth the time.

The Catholic Church gay problem was very widespread...
And was mostly gay males...molesting boys...right?
The Catholic Church let their priesthood be thoroughly infiltrated with gay males...and they still haven't fully recovered from that problem.
Abortion as birth control...and supporting gays and wanting take guns away from everyone but the criminals???
Starting in the 60's...and early 70's...
The Democratic party has gone so far off the deep left end...
That Harry Truman now looks like a Republican.
The Democratic party has completely lost its moral compass and sense of direction.
