I've been wondering to myself why these people are arguing for a side they aren't even on, nevermind the illogical and sometimes ficticious points. Do they LIKE adware? I can't imagine them PROFITING from BT since it's freeware. So what is it?? It can't just be a simple case of over-inflated EGO can it?!
You're being ridiculous. You accuse (by implication) bittorrent of installing spyware. When someone calls you on either being wrong or being a bad communicator, you throw a fit. 1) Grow up and learn to take criticism. 2) Learn to communicate better.
The silliness of your first post was that you implied that bittorrent was at fault for spyware. You might as well say that Windows, the Internet, and computing too are at fault because they were all present in places adware was detected. Here's a tip for your next expose post: All spyware / adware / malware is because of the internet and computers!!! Quick, tell the world - this great evil must be stopped!

Yes, spyware and adware is incredibly bad and often incideous, but the way you talk about it, it's like the the internet is coming to an end!
OMG! I didn't know that if I don't use common sense and protect my computer bad things can happen!?! OMG! (yes, people actually say this) =)
As a former network admin, it's my opinion that the people who click yes to spyware and adware are the ones that should be taken out and flogged. If they listened to people like you, their network admins, and common sense, there would be a lot less of this adware/spyware/virsus going around. Focus on educating people! It works! =)
Problem is, people like him say not to do things like this and describe the latest "sucker" tactics to get people to install things on a regular basis, and people crucify him every single time a "big" story like this pops up. Frankly after seeing that disgraceful piece in PCMag that has no real basis in fact, I think he had every right to counter what Dvorak wrote. Why shouldn't he?
Considering the garbage he wrote, i thought he was pretty restrained. I've seen him really wail on people and it aint pretty.
Plus if you check out the piece above, its now rather clear why this distro NEEDED to be covered..

It never fails to irk the shit out of me when people get pissed off at me because I have to wipe & reload systems due to adware and spyware. I'm behind you 100%.
