You know and I know, the only reason they are saying ANYTHING, is that their name came up. Oh, they will say its all deplorable, but lets face it, they know all about third party installs, just as you and I do. And if you know about third party installs, then you know about the potential for this kind of abuse. The problem is all in the ethics.
Guys like you and me, and many others in the security community would never even think about doing such a thing, if this type of scenario was ever thought of in anything we got involved with.
The difference here is, quite simpley....greed.
How these guys sleep at nite is beyond me.
Hope they all burn in hell.

I know what I'd like to do with guys who think it's ok to advertise/be involved with underage porn .... polite version - hang them up and cut it off

to in part understand these greedy perverse jerks you have to think investment capital and the ability to not see what you dont want to see,
these people think that if they dont make it then well, in real terms its nothing to do with them so what if they use it to sell product its not their problem...

TeMerc has it right. Independent researchers are coming across these abuses all the time. The only way 180 and the others could NOT find them is if they are not monitoring them at all. Independent researchers work with the disadvantage of not knowing where to look, yet we still find these abuses on a regular basis.

just let him know he's gonna have a link that will blow him away, at least a little. we're putting on our servers, etc. i'm not at all technical, so it wasn't obvious to me how to go. plus everyone's a bit skittish, because this stuff is pretty explosive. Bear with me as i strive to get it up. i can't do it myself, so i'm waiting for some tech help. we do have a business to run, the guys remind me.
