Why don't you come and work in the USA? I emigrated from the UK and it's a revelation. Police who actually police.
If the cops in my hometown went up against your local hoodlums the problem'd be solved in a day.
Unfortunately in the UK now the cops are more concerned with stopping you calling people fat.

I did notice from the times i've been over there that nobody disses a cop - mind you all the ones i saw were built like the terminator so im not surprised.
respect for law and order has gone out the window over here - as i've noted, you have a million get out clauses if you want to be a thug, yet those on the receiving end dont get anything approaching the same protection.

True - however, like most of the people in the area we are homeowners which makes it considerably more difficult to do so.
You *could* sell to one of those cash in hand companies at a massively reduced rate - but why lose out because of rat faced scumbags?

Scum are scum, and they're equally noxious and dangerous offline as well as on. A readiness, not to mention willingness, to fight back decisively and with profound force is the way to beat such filth.
Hurricane has certainly had cause to consider the ramifications of taking on thugs and human garbage. Our offices are a fortress (it has been observed) and our individual past experience and familiarity with violent confrontation is handy. God help anyone who chooses the path of most resistance.
