Engaging in debate would mean being able to listen to and understand other people's points of view.

I realize advertising and marketers aren't going anywhere for a while, but I rather like how Fred Reed suggested our planet is about to implode from the weight of junk we all are persuaded to buy, but for which no one breathing has any need or even use. He suggests we dissolve pitchmen in huge vats of bio-solvents.

They do, milligansghost. But Fred offered his own homemade recipe, as I recall, which included moonshine. He promised not to siphon off too much for "medicinal purposes."
