Nice writeup. I guess for those dealing with Internet Security it seems a pretty obvious fact. There are so many sources of information out there in the computerised world and so many things that you could / should recognize, that some simply dont bother anymore. Its just like with EULAs. I dont think I know anyone who actually reads an EULA. Especially when they are done in misleading ways, or end into an infite rant. In Germany we say "sometimes less, is actually more." So rather then being a little vague, being concise is the smarter option to take

lol. I didn't see the title of either warning message until it was brought to my attention. Good post, I don't want to pay for it, but I'd love to see an eyetracking study done on warning messages. My current theory is that they only work one or two times. The second time they cry wolf most of us start ignoring them and just click anything to make them go away.
