i have heard that a group out of europe, have been targeting Phishing sites with denial of service attacks so maybe castlecorps are getting the blame its possible
with their backs against the wall, they'll say anything.

We had no grudges or predispositions, we were pointing out possible sideffects in the plan, and acheived what we were looking for: a reason to beleive otherwise.
I'm glad to say CastleCops has been very tolerant and helped clear up all misunderstandings along the way.
Oh, we'd appreciate it if you did not take our quotes out of context without even providing a link to the last quote... that site in question is now facing an inquiry and libel charges for their unfounded accusations.

First off, if you go slinging wild accusations of DoS attacks around the place at people who have been doing security for years, you need to expect to roll with the punches. Its great that you changed your opinion, but it seems like you're backpedalling at the speed of light to me.
Sunbelt is a sponor...and? If you bother to check their blog, my blog, hell, Suzi Turner's blog, you'll see that I have an extremely good working relationship with the Sunbelt guys and I don't see the big deal with that. I have some good friends there, and doubly so at Castlecops - an unfounded attack on one of them is as good an attack on myself, and I'll do everything in my power to right that wrong.
As for taking you out of context - sorry, I stated it was from another blog post of yours and made it relevant to my ultimate point.
Did you or did you not repeatedly post "PIRT IS TEH BAD READ THIS FOR MORE INFO" at least *four* times in the Castlecop Digg page?
Seems like total overkill to me.
However, I will indeed add a link to your "out of context" article, for all the good it will do.
And (frankly), finishing off with mentioning how some company is facing libel charges for unfounded accusations is pot-and-kettle tastic, considering...and let me say this again...you posted a rant kicking off about DOS attacks with absolutely no substance to your claims. If you were seeking "assurances that this was not the case", you could've just gone and, i dont know, maybe asked someone at the castlecops site? or was it easier to spam your Digg entry all over the place?
You apologise on your site for coming over as harshly as you did - if you attack something in the manner you did, expect some blowback - its inevitable.
