Newsflash: This site has been closed down before, and ALWAYS comes back. Why? Because it is NOT illegal, by any laws ANYWHERE (Even in Germany).
It will be back in about a WEEK, at most.

Note that's why I said it will likely be back. I'm aware of the history of the page. However the fact that the page is down all of a sudden is significant - why would this be so? Yapbrowser involvement behind the scenes, getting the page pulled so everything looks "good" for them when they do their interview next week?
Then it returns a few days after they think the smoke has cleared? Or some other reason? Also, if the site is "perfectly legal" how come its always being shut down? Its not always about the "front page" that advertises a site that is the deciding factor that gets something pulled or not - theres the content behind the scenes, the paid-for material it links to, details behind the scenes you may not be privvy to, the fact that all the porno content was hidden behind a seemingly innocent looking "holding page" that doesn't actually link to the content pages (as in this case). Add in some (likely fraudulent) contact details for the anyvideo site that are listed in Webhelper's CWS lists for various other hijack sites and you have a heady mix of deception and scumbaggery of the highest order.
And like I said, there are plenty of countries that would indeed state the material was potentially illegal, such as Canada:
(5) It is not a defence to a charge under subsection (2) in respect of a visual representation that the accused believed that a person shown in the representation that is alleged to constitute child pornography was or was depicted as being eighteen years of age or more unless the accused took all reasonable steps to ascertain the age of that person and took all reasonable steps to ensure that, where the person was eighteen years of age or more, the representation *did not depict that person as being under the age of eighteen years.*
In other words, even if your model is over 18, if they're making out that they're younger than this, you're still in trouble.
There are plenty of other countries that go much further, and many countries that will bust you purely for having a naked picture of a child, no matter if its "artistic", tasteful, involves no sexual content or anything else.
I don't understand your obsession with trying to somehow absolve this garbage, and I don't understand your insistence on trying to somehow ignore the fact that there are plenty of countries that will indeed come down heavily on this site. Lacing the keywords with words such as "preteen" will also not go down too well.
Using a blanket statement that it is "simply not illegal anywhere" is just patently untrue. What about the previously mentioned countries that class any form of "child nudity" as illegal? Or do they not count?

Some countries go further and prohibit all depictions of nudity of minors, whether or not the minor is depicted in an erotic pose or as engaging in a sex act.
I won't bother regurgitating the section on countries that ban depictions even when real kids aren't involved, such as paintings, drawings etc.

Well done, you completely missed the point of that Russian guy's post - in case you hadn't noticed, he is *accusing* the person who runs Yapbrowser of also being a webmaster on a well known CHILD PORN webmaster forum.
Not "tasteful" shots - not "artistic" shots - child porn. Illegal child porn.
By the way, you'll find the majority of russian webmasters are against this thing and many adult webmaster boards in Russia have sections devoted to exposing the scum that run those sites.

some points:
1) there does indeed seem to be a connection between the yapguy and that KP forum. if this is true, all of your points are null and void, do not pass go, go straight to jail.
2) 180 solutions pulled out their software at a lightning speed and hae not made ONE comment on this in public. not ONE. thats pretty interesting considering "Chris" here is singing the joys of the sites tied into this shit. Is this the first time 180 have NOT made a public statement on a rogue affiliate? looks like it.
3) The yapbrowser people themselves said they considered the material to have been illegal. as its their software and they are the ones directly involved, I'd say thats up to them wouldnt you? if they wanna pull it, well, too bad for you. i think they made the right choice myself.
4) what about the well documented links these sites have to CWS groups who actively push hardcore illegal underage porn? five minutes digging reveals all kinds of sordid facts about these people.
bottom line, all the evidence points to a well organised group of hijackers and KP sites and theres not a great deal you can say to try and wriggle out of it.

1 the number of personal PC's in russia compared to the West is very low
2 if by consent you mean they want or like it i assure you most russians dont
3 a lot of these sites are funded by the russian mafia drugs trade
4 the legal system in most of Ex comunnist russia is still behind the west as far as Net crime goes
5 and this is the important one the russian mafia has shot any number of policemen in the russian states over the last few years so its not easy for them to investigate these sites..

I was going to comment here, but I think I'll just shut up ... as 'Christophers' rantings are just getting me more and more riled up. As anyone who knows me can confirm, I have extremely strong feelings of what should be done to child abusers.
One thing though, Christopher, are you actually trying to tell me that a young, vulnerable child will actually WANT to have sex in front of a camera AND be paid for it?

Child porn is abuse, no matter if it is naked pictures of said child, or a child having sex and it should be taken off the internet permanently and the sleaseballs who actually put it online should have their balls removed and stuffed down their damn throats.
