Nah, it's something commissioned by RIAA and MPAA who assume anything on a computer with those extensions is their property. The other virus behaviors are just the coder's own personal touch for extra profit.

I watched the whole trilogy with my roommate last weekend. Six hours of my life i will never get back. SIX HOURS OF CRAP.
You would think after the first universal soldier they would have stopped. But they made THREE and Dolf Lundgrin's acting does not improve.
