> The recent Yahoo worm targeted faulty scripts based on a technology called Ajax, or Asynchronous JavaScript and XML.

> The worm didn't require a user to click on an attachment, making it more virulent than many. An undisclosed number of users got infected simply by opening an e-mail from another infected user. The worm then sent itself to others in a person's address book and transmitted those addresses to a remote server, possibly for junk e-mail, security researchers said.

If the IE/OE combo is being used (as I gather most people do, because it's "free"), then the way to stop this worm in its tracks is to go to the Internet zone and Disable all 3 settings under "Scripting", and do the same in the Restricted Sites zone. This way, OE cannot run active scripting in e-mail, no matter which version of OE they have: the one that looks at the Internet zone, or the one that looks at the Restricted Sites zone.

Or, they could 'go the route' and set everything in the Restricted Sites zone to Disable, and do the same in the Internet zone except "File download" and "Send nonencrypted form data" (the latter to make Google work). Thus killing two birds with one stone, can't be bad
