Well you know, if they weren't based in a country where the government branch responsible for handing out fines - sorry, "settlements" - didn't suck ass so much, then no doubt they'd be sued into the ground then thrown in a cell with a guy called Bubba.

But once you've resolved yourself to the fact that all of the old school adware vendors have set sail and are NOT going to be handing over their money anytime soon, its unrealistic to expect anything more than a paltry slap on the wrist and the entity known for all those horrendous installs being forced to shut down.

Do I really care in the grand scheme of things if some random dude from direct revenue walked off with millions? Nah. Nothing I can do about it.

Do I care that the *entity itself* is dead and buried and no longer infecting people with its garbage, its mealy-mouthed PR flaks are shut up for all eternity and we made them look real bad along the way, hopefully contributing to that paltry slap on the wrist in some sort of meaningful fashion?

Yep. That seems more like mission accomplished to me, and its the best someone with no law enforcement capabilities, and no legal say in the matter, can hope for.

Somewhere, somehow, we made a difference.
