A Revolution is the Solution

Gravatar Rushing the bum as we ... uh ... speak.

Gravatar Seconded!!

Gravatar Seen a lot of the Comments on there and some are frankly Disturbing,
Who are some of those People ?
and i dont mean your lot PG...

Gravatar heh, "my lot"

Theres nothing like a righteous posse!

Seems to me like the only people with an anti-Romero axe to grind are the ones with definite agendas.

Of course, some people who know nothing at all about tech will simply hear the word "porn" with the word "schoolkids" and get all righteous and stupid at the drop of a hat.

Gravatar Teh comments there have taken me from annoyed and concerned to infuriated and scared out of my mind.

I cannot believe the coments/ignorance of some of the people throwing items up there. So uh, who'll chip in for my bail if I take the fifteen or so hour drive to CT?!

Gravatar I have added a Comment i am Appalled
By the Attitude of some americans not all by Any means but some for sure ..

Gravatar Forget bail, I'll fly over and bust you out, A-Team style!

Gravatar Wait...so if I go beat sense into people I get these new experiences...

a) Bludgeoning sense into people
b) Arrested
c) Jail
d) Prison break
e) "On the lamb" time with PG?!

I'm leaving now!!!

And Milli as an American, I'm appalled by many recent developments in my country. And the attitude that many people have expressed over them. It's truly a pity.

Gravatar And sadly, it just ends up reinforcing stereotypes that people outside the US tend to carry around with them. As someone who works with mostly Americans, I can happily say they're some of the cleverest people out there - especially tech wise. But oh god, something like this has the potential to TOTALLY distort an outsiders point of view of the place. thats a damn shame.

now if you'll excuse me, I need to go make a tank inside a shed using only three meters of pipe, some cardboard and a roll of tape.

Gravatar It does. Sadly the country is slowly turning hypocritical to our forefathers that spoke of tolerance and all walks of life and religion being equal.

Don't forget a cannon using apples!

Gravatar A lot has been made of the "why didn't she pull the plug/turn off the monitor/cover the screen with a jumper argument". At first I imagined a classroom layout that I'm familiar with from the UK with the computer in the corner of the room and the screen visible to teacher and class alike, where this argument at least has some validity- if you think kids catching sight of a postage stamp sized porn pop-up is going to corrupt their morals. (This was the size of image reportedly found during the forensic examination- around15Kb: barely discernible if you're not sitting at the computer).
However, a class room plan published today shows the computer screen only visible to the teacher if the kids are in their seats- so pushing the kids at the computer away from the screen was quite enough to protect their delicate morals.

A sideways glimpse of thumbnail images is a rather different picture to that painted by supporters of the verdict:

"Here are the facts: Amero showed graphic pornography to up to 10 children in a Kelly Middle School class, according to a police investigation."

I sincerely hope Julie gets a good lawyer and the full facts of this case come out in the appeal: there's just no way the case stacks up.

Gravatar My profound disgust duly noted on the Norwitchhunt CT board.

what a joke.
