A Revolution is the Solution

you mean there's a computer crimes unit in the UK?
Seriously if my own experiences to do with the police and things like internet identity theft they are stuck in the 1990's they have no concept of war chalking, blue diving, softlifting or anything to do with computer crime i tried to explain to a police officer about threats being made to someone on a BBS and he had no idea what a BBS was...

Gravatar I used to work with the Scientific Development Branch in the UK (10 years ago), which is kind of like the Q branch in James Bond films only not exciting at all. They are not enforcers themselves (they are scientists) but probably know some good technical contacts in the local constabularies.

Gravatar Have you thought of contacting Interpol? They may be a bit more helpful, or at least give you a contact locally for an officer who isn't quite brain-dead yet.

Gravatar Teabag most working coppers in the UK dont have time for the internet their response to computer crime is in the main (why dont you just switch it off)i think you will find the computer crime unit has been handed over to the Special branch anti terrorist unit which is why you cant talk to them,
Well thats what i was told by a police friend yesterday...

Gravatar Boxed this one off, eh.....interesting. Sorry, I'm an over-the-pond-er. Light on the lingo I am, a vernacular vagabond if you will.
