A Revolution is the Solution

Right so Zango now believe that its ok to silent install as long as they tell you after they do it ??
My opinion No its not ok i dont want your Content on my PC never have and never will i dont like Adware i never have and i never will any Zango that appears on my system will be Attacked Battered Sliced Diced Smashed Bashed and Crushed and then sent to my Software Shredder ...
but thats just my opinion

Gravatar So, Milligan, can we also do that to the people behind all this junk? Just once I'd love to sit on one of them for awhile, plant my bum right in the middle of the stomach. Then sneeringly ask them to take a deep breath. Then maybe bounce a little up and down, etc.

Gravatar Believe me Ed if i thought it would do any good i would be the first in line to give those Scum at Zango a battering ....

Gravatar Well, I actually sucked it up and installed Zango...I knew what it was, and why it was being done, but I needed a piece of software supported by them (a video editor)...That said, I think I found a work-around for disabling most of Zango from the get go...At least in IE7...

IE7, for all it's drawbacks, allows you to EASILY manage add-ons of all types - I just went in and while the install of the software I needed was running (although I suspect you can do it after) I disabled all of the Zango add-ons. I then went to Manage on My Computer, and disabled all of the Zango start ups, etc.

Finally, I ended the Zango executable in task manager...

The beauty of this is that the registry still has the key entries that the software needs to run....but Zango gets Zippo.
