LOL. Sounds a) what you posted about Myspace people before and b) like a response from my american colleagues (w/o intending to offend the americans in general...). Whenever my colleagues stuff up and you send them a query like you did, answers looks similar to that response rofl lmao lol (sorry, cant help it but its true)...

"We do not offer that option as it is not available within MySpace."
LOL. Did they outsource it to some non-english speaking country and thus inducing a language barrier?

And you resisted the temptation to play around with their backend? You are TRULY a better man than I am, Mr. Boyd.
It's pretty obvious when Tom Anderson made MySpace all those years ago, he had NO IDEA it would become the megalith it is today. With all of NewsCorp's money and countless advertiser's revenue, you would THINK they were armed with the very best in IT and security personnel, wouldn't you?
A bot answering secutity inquiries. LOL! Gawd I'd hire you and Lolo to clean that place up if I were them.

What a shambles. However it is expected because their way of responding to abuse/mail/support is the worst I have seen.

Holy Crap, myspace needs to get a grip.
Could it be possible that this was a vulnerability in the domain admin software? Which would be bigger just Myspace.
Still, they should have a real e-mail address that real people can contact for real security issues.

Hey PG,
I'm not part of those super secret back end mailing lists so I wouldn't have seen that question before, but I do have name & email address of a high level person at Fox Interactive who is on the Youth Internet Safety Taskforce (that I am also a part of). It's probably not exactly the right person, but I'm pretty sure we would be able to find the right contact for you and the other backroom boys.
-K
PS Email me if you'd like to follow up on this and I'd be happy to help.

PG,
Can you send me the screenshot? I don't have a MySpace contact in my little black book, but I do have some names in there that may just be able to help.

So I had the same recent experience ... I found a loophole that allowed people to be anonymous on myspace, and harass users to no end - I brought this to the attention of Userplane, AND to MySpace - since I'm not an employee of MySpace, Userplane said they were unable to do anything about it, however, the return messages I got from MySpace were all a bunch of automated responses about using the groups and forums.
They're all retarded.

Hi Dave i have found Myspace admin to be both annoying frustrating and on occasion downright rude,
They seem to care little for the people who use Myspace more intent it seems on geting the advertizing revenue....
