Gravatar PTC nonsense, hell yes, I have vented on this point. Here's a copy of an email I sent along to a cousin of mine on this subject, about a year ago:

'The following is a transcript; I really, really restrained myself from
completely going postal on these wackos ...

'"I must say, I am impressed. Your efforts may well turn our nation's
children into what an outside observer might see as a generation of
lifeless automatons wholly void of any sense of what the real world
is.

'"Seriously, though, although your intentions may be all well and good,
I don't think this is being executed in the right way. What children
(legally, up to the age of 1 watch on TV is generally speaking not
going to influence their behavior to a point where they become, you
know, 'evil'. Here's a for instance.

'"The Simpsons. Your organization gives the show a 'caution' light. A
green light would much more reasonable. It's a fantastic show, and our
nation's children can learn a lot about life and the absurdities
within it (it is satire, after all) by watching it. I know I did. Or
...

'"South Park. Understood, not for the young'ns. Hey, there's a warning
before each episode (meant to spoof other warnings, of course, but
still). And there is consistently a good lesson at the end of every
episode. Cartman is shown to be the stupid bigot he is. If you put it
all in context (which, I'm afraid, your organization does not), he
never wins. (Stan is always saying: 'You know, I've learned something
today ...' Right?)

'"Anyways, just try to do a few things here and there, and the PTC will
be the better for it: 1) recognize that television is not the primary
influence over these kids lives, 2) what they see and hear will not,
by and large, overtly disturb them to a degree where they may need
professional therapy later on in life (as is implicitly suggested by
the very nature of the PTC, it appears), and 3) if you have them bound
and gagged for their entire childhood by enforcing what people may see
as a quasi-fascistic control over them, and then released into their
own lives, they'll be eaten alive. So, it's really best to have them
be informed of what the world is really like, and not some fantasy
world we'd all like to live in.

'"Thank you for your time. I hope this was constructive -- and I really
do, because I'd one of you all to read it, perhaps. And maybe send a
friendly reply. Again, thanks."

'Well, that was my piece. I think it was eloquent, concise, scathing.
Those fuckers deserve it. If you haven't heard of this organization,
the PTC (www.parentstv.org) is an ultra-PC group that honestly
believes that the wrong shows, or even the wrong piece of dialogue,
will irrevocably warp the minds of the nation's children. I could not
keep myself from laughing aloud as I read their analyses of the
"anti-religious" or pro-sexuality (which, to the PTC, is inherently
evil) of primetime satan progr
