Ignore the yarn overs. The edges won't look funny - and a lot of it will be hidden in the seam anyway. The diamonds should line up.

Thank you Katie. I'll ignore the yarn overs, but a few rows up have decreases without the yo. Should I ignore those decreases too?

I'm pretty sure that by ignoring the yo's you ARE decreasing. Since doing a yarn over makes an increase.
