I wish you luck with that early to bed business. It took me 3 years, and was never used to it

The yarn for the skirt is gorgeous and I know you will do a great job on the sweater for my mom - can't wait to see it! Okay, seriously I could never get up at 430am (well maybe if someone offered me a million dollars....ha!).

Hey, I get up at 5am every morning, piece of cake. I just seem to miss all those 10pm programs on tv, cause I'm drifting off with my knitting in my lap. Just don't do it with a cup of tea in your hand!

Jocelyn - I hope that I don't get used to it!!
Carol - I think that I may have some deviant personality flaw whereby I secretly enjoy torturing myself.
That and I'm trying to find the truth in the old saw, "early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy & wise". LOL
Cindy - I can't wait to start it!
Rhonda - Thank God for PVR - I love my night-time shows so much!!

I love it when you ask Kyle howzzit going? I'm sure he must laugh when you put the camera down (cuz it's not cool for teen boys to be caught LAUGHING) --
Can't wait to see the sweater. I'm still sweating the whole intarsia thing -- even though I just got Sasha Kagan's new book which is ALL INTARSIA. Guess I should just suck it up and get busy, huh?

The China Clouds jacket will be gorgeous! I can't wait to see it!
Ack - how do you pull off 4:30? The clocks going forward 2 weeks ago still have me exhausted.

When I was weaving with linen I would prep it by soaking it overnight in a lot of water, then freeze it during the day (8 hrs or so) then thaw it in the microwave and beat the skeins on the counter a while. It softens the fiber wonderfully.
Blessings on Kyle. He is a sunny, wonderful boy and I wish you could clone him. I want several.
The intarsia is kick-ass stunning!

Thanks Fran & Kristina - I'm looking forward to the challenge. I don't know if I'll get used to 4:30 AM - knowing that it's temporary certainly helps!!
Rox - If it was for me I probably would (it would certainly be easier on my hands), but it's for Elise & her book so I'll make do. If Elise doesn't write the pattern in children's sizes I think that I might tweak it myself and make one for Amanda. I'm a little past the knitted skirt-wearing shape.
And when he's being good I wish that I could clone Kyle, most other days I'd happily allow him to be adopted! LOL Fortunately I love him deeply and the memories of my sweet baby boy and the dreams of the man that he'll become are getting me through these trying years.
