Wow, I don't think I'd ever try to bathe my cat. I'm not that brave.
Wendy directed me here today.

I have never tried to bathe a cat. My white persian (Snowball) once got bathed at the vet's by accident. They said he was very well-mannered (actually scared to death). I will say he was whiter then white after that bath....lol.
Michele sent me, this time!

Oh, poor, beautiful Willow! And how mortifying that you captured her drowned rat-ness for all the internet to see. She does, however, look wonderfully fluffy in those last photos.
I used to bathe my late cat, Samantha, until the time that she got one dewclaw stuck in my forearm while I was doing so. We both screamed bloody murder, and after that, the vet bathed her when she needed it. Lyra, Sasha and Sergei have never been bathed. We probably could manage bathing the boys, but Lyra would kill us for sure.

The courage you have! I cannot imagine attempting to bath my 5 pound tiger (Abby)... oh my what a ruckus there would be. Willow looks quite beautiful and so fluffy! She tolerates the experience quite well. I had to think, she was getting her beauty treatments...how many hours did this take?

Roxanne! WE just ten minutes over coffee, tea and Ms. Willow! We have been laughing hysterically and oo-ing and ah-ing over this absolutely delightful post. Never would I be brave enough to bathe either Sophie (who never needs it, she's so fastidious) or McCloud (who could always use a good bath, esp. since he's so fat he can't reach the middle of his back)- no amount of Valium in any system would do the trick. But you and Ms. Willow pull it off with such finesse! We love these pictures. Rich kept scrolling back to the 2nd wet one, with her lip dragging and an expression of, "WHAT did I ever do to deserve this?" By the third she's looking ticked off and by the end she is show stopping beautiful. I've sent this link off to my brother- I know he'll laugh. (He's the one who takes his Maine Coons for a walk in the cat stroller.)
Anyway, great job, great photos, great post and great entry for Friday's Ark. Ms. Willow- Sophie is over here laughing at you , Rich is calling, "Here, Cloudy, Cloudy, it's time for your bath!" but I think you're radiant.

Wow, I am impressed by your bravery! My Osiris would wreak such vengeance after a bath I would never suggest it again.
But Willow does look absolutely beautiful, esp. after she's all clean and dry.

What a gorgeous kitty! I'm glad all my cats are short haired, I remember the bath-and-blow-dry routine with my Irish Setter...
