I ran to get the camera just yesterday when my two were basking in the afternoon sun through the window doing the mutual clean up but, alas, dead batteries.
Kitties do provide endless enjoyment and I would be so lonely without them.
Our dogs haven't found dead fish to roll in, but whatever poops in the woods attracts them. And then they are so waggy and grinning about it. In dog speak "sheeee-uuwwww!" means "good doggie" I guess.

Srp you are lucky to have cats that like one another. Abby is finally letting Jinx groom her, ever so slowly but she is allowing him to give her a 'lick' here and there. He is the only one she really tolerates, all the other get threatening REOWS or swats. But, I am still hopeful, one day maybe she will let them all groom her.

I love your kitties. I have a great idea: you can come housesit mine and enjoy Chicago from Jan-April. Bring Rhett.
It's true about the washing. I always feel slightly insulted when they start washing off my cooties as soon as I finish petting them.
My grandmother had this bit of wisdom regarding cats: When you move to a new house put a bit of butter on a cat's fur. It will make him take a bath and after that he'll feel as though it's home. I'm not sure about that, but it's true that they don't bathe when they are on heightened alert and a bath certainly slows them down for a bit. So I follow her advice.

The Brothers never groomed each other, getting close to the other being an invitation to instant intense pain, but ever since Bean Sidhe joined our household both are being approached by the intrepid kitten and shyly licked. He's the peacemaker, that little one.
But our dog has always washed all of the cats. It's fun to watch her scramble after a feline, pin it down with one huge paw ( that's called l'amour brute ) and get on with the job using her big slobbering tongue. The cat in question just lies there and taps his nails on the floor in annoyance. He would never admit he loves it. It's just Big Mommah at work...
