We had bad weather here in Florida yesterday...tornadoes to the north of us. We had a lot of rain here; it's cloudy and cool today. I feel sorry for people who save up their money for a Florida vacation and then come and have bad weather.

The cardinal is magnificent against the snow. They are absolutely one of my favorite birds.

I saw lots of cardinals against backgrounds of snow during my years living in southern Indiana. It was beautiful but I don't miss it at all!
It finally grew colder here and yesterday it was quite chilly but no snow flurries as was predicted by the weatherman. It'll be 70 again at the end of the week, though.

With the cardnial I thought it must be Virginia (our state bird) but the snow confused me. I wonder if we'll get any anytime soon?

We almost got snow last week. It got below freezing....very rare for here....and then the next day we had a downpour. Would have been nice to have the two together.

We have a married couple of cardinals around here. We've watched them for two or three years. Their colors (Mama is sort of orange/red) always brighten up the neighborhood on cold and dreary days. Interesting: nobody around here ever gossips about them.
