Gravatar Glad to see you back, and with a very exciting post to boot! Don't keep us hanging too long with what comes next!

Gravatar Ditto what Elizabeth said. You sound like the voice of reason!

Gravatar It is so nice to see you back. I knew when you started talking about your dad's birthday and that it would probably be a big affair, but I didn't really think you'd be gone so long.

I've been in Virginia since the 19th of February, going home after Easter. I think there will be some spring here before I leave. There are a few buds of leaves on trees.

Welcome back.

Gravatar I do agree, to give is a great moment andbwhen you see the joy in your guests eyes - it's priceless.

We will to the same this fall when my best friend and and darling and wife - can't believe it: 60

Gravatar I see I'm listed as anonymous up above...don't know why.

Gravatar Am so happy to see you back! And wow...250 guests?! I can't imagine having that many people here. Though we live on 5 acres in the country and parking wouldn't be a problem....there's no way that many could 'flow' through this house! Can't wait to hear, "The rest of the story...."

Gravatar I'm smiling to read your post and am loving the story. I look forward to the next post. It's great to see you back, Roxanne!

Gravatar I am really glad you're back. And this is a good post. Please don't keep up in suspense too long.

Is it too late to say Happy Birthday to your dad?

Gravatar COUGH IT UP! And the cars...

This is a great report, Roxanne. What a party! We only had a dozen for Bud's birthday and that was plenty- because they all slept over.

I bet the kitties were just thrilled with this whole affair. You have so much to catch us up on here- Stephen's visit and more party pictures and so on and so forth...oh, and a blessed Easter to you!

Gravatar Some events are really once in a lifetime - and I do think you have thought about the most.

Give your mother a real good hug from your Viking blogger friend

PS. My mother is 88

Gravatar Just ran across your site...the party story is hilarious. I am still laughing. What is life without a little mayhem?! Happy belated birthday to your papa.

Gravatar Thanks good.

Gravatar Wow, that looks like wonderful food at your dad's birthday. Looks like a cool party.

Gravatar I hope everything is okay with you and yours. Miss you.

Gravatar Wow. That sounds like quite a party. We didn't do anything that serious when my Dad turned 70 last summer but maybe we'll get more elaborate at his 75th birthday.
