David and Sabrina had tulips as their wedding flowers. The bridesmaids wore blue and carried white tulips. At the reception, each table was graced with the lovely flowers.

In Florida, we only see them in pots in the grocery stores or at a nursery, but I always looking forward to seeing them. Now, one can buy bunches of cut ones. I love them for their simplicity.

I had not heard that story before.

When I was in the Netherlands years ago and went to see the tulips I was undone at the variety and scope. These are so delicate and beautiful.

Alas, if they bloomed year round, we'd probably not appreciate them as well.

Tulips are so beautiful. I used to have a number of them in my yard but none came up this year. I guess I'd better bury some more bulbs this year. I don't want to go tulip-less again next year.

Wonderful MYM post! Yellow flowers of all kinds are my favorite. No matter waht the meanings I've always thought they mean "love" in one form or another if anyone cares enough to remember yellow is my favorite. It's funny that my best friends remember but my husband doesn't! LOL!

They are among my top five flowers, and I would love them to bloom all year long, too!

I once did an all tulip wedding, where the bridesmaids each carried one color, and the bride carried a bouquet of all the colors. It was beautiful.
