What lovely photos, especially of Mama Cat. I have a problem with real close-ups. I am not sure if it is my camera, or me (probably the latter). Any hints?

That's a terrific photo of mama cat...do you have a zoom on your camera? Every time I tried to photograph Oscar, it would come out with him glaring at me and if I got close up he'd head butt me. I couldn't win!
Pretty pictures of two beautiful cats! When my cats grew into older kittens, their mothers made sure they became independent, especially of the mama's milk, by batting them when they came too close. So not all mama cats are so loving to their kittens as they grow older.
Oops, I meant to say that I think it's lovely that this cat is so sweet to her big babies -- she seems an extraordinarily-loving mother.
Just looking at a cat doing a sunbath is destressing ! Pookie loves to do that too. And now with Rosie we can't even watch TV anymore because we are always distracted by her funny poses !

All of the cats love the sunshine, but it seems in our household the black ones love it more. I don't know how Abby or Boo lays in that hot glaring sun, but they will until they bake. I love taking pictures of both of them in the sun, it creates such wonderful shadows. I love the natural light.
Both kittys look beautiful.
My cats sleep all the time too (at least 20 hrs. per day).
