Your daughter was a cute little girl and I bet she is a beautiful woman. Your post touched me.

Gravatar What a lovely collection of photos. Do you think we have embarrassed our children this week?

Gravatar Lovely shots and sweet memories. I love the quotes you used throughout as well.
Beautiful.

Gravatar Ten boys and two girls in a class.... sounds like a typical class when I was in Engineering College! Anyhow, your daughter must be so beautiful now, her childhood photos are gorgeaous.

Gravatar It's not only the pictures that I like but your post too. Your introduction is very heartwarming.

Gravatar She's a pretty! What joy these memories bring upon us. Beautiful photos indeed. Thanks for the visit.

Gravatar Wonderful photos! Your daughter is absolutely adorable in all those photos! Excellent choices for the theme.

Gravatar Lovely memories, lovely pictures. My especial favourite is the one feeding the ducks.

Just as an aside, whenever I read the name Nyssa, I have to re-read it because it is so like Nyassa, the name my parents called their house when they returned from Africa. The old name (and the old spelling) for Lake Malawi was Nyassa.

Gravatar So many beautiful pictures. She's adorable.
I loved to play Happy happy hippo when I was a child too. Oh these memories...

Thanks for stopping by earlier today.
Hugs,
Sonny

Gravatar Great post! Birthdays and amusement parks... as long as one still enjoys them age doesn't matter!

Gravatar Not only very well said but very well depicted with all of those great pictures. I especially like the first one with the crown!

Gravatar I like the Merry-Go-Round one. She looks like she just won the Kentucky Derby.

That's today, by the way, on the Cinco de Mayo. Interesting, huh?

I rabbit-wrote again today.

Gravatar What wonderful shots and she is a doll! Hungry hippos was one of my favorites too! Thanks for sharing!

Gravatar What a cute little girl she was ! I loved this theme today, brought up quite some souvenirs !

I watched this afternoon a reportage about Virginia City the gold mines !Very interesting what archeologes found there. I also learned that in 1840 or 50 almost all women who were present there, were prostitutes, lol ! Did you dig a little in your past ? Maybe great, great, great, great Grandma ??

Gravatar Oooo... Nyssa has been a pretty girl since young! She's a princess. Lovely photos!

Gravatar Nyssa is so sweet

Gravatar Nyssa is so beautiful! Tell her to ride EVERY merry-go-round from then to the end of her life! It's a great way to celebrate the child in each of us! Great photos! Thanks for visiting my hunt photos today..

Have to ask, Uncle Stephen....what role did he have with Phantom of the Opera? I love that POTO!

Happy Saturday!

Gravatar I think we all should wear a crown and get cupcakes on our birthdays!

Thanks for stopping by mine

Gravatar when I was little and grandma came to visit us we very often also went feeding the ducks (especially at winter time)! there's something about grandmas and ducks

and I agree with Teena that crown and cupcakes on birthdays should be "must"!

Gravatar Ahhhh! Perfectly delightful. My favorite one is feeding the duck. Beautiful! Thanks, again, for stopping by Pollywog Creek. Have a wonderful weekend.

Gravatar your daughter will have wonderful childhood memories because of you -- thanks for letting us share these moments too.

Gravatar Thank you so much for sharing these memories with us today. Sometimes I think I take too many pictures of my young children but your pictures make me think otherwise. How could a mother have too many rememberances of such a fleeting time?

Gravatar great photos and commentary! what a cutie! i love her hair!

thanks for stopping by!

Gravatar What a beautiful little girl your daughter was! Great photos too!

Gravatar What beautiful photos! And she was so beautiful too!

Oh, and loved the candle and the smoke -photo. I also have a newly purchased Canon 400D and it's... yeah, a LOT of fun!

Just a little hint: If you would upload your photos into a flickr-account (it's free, if you didn't know) and post them on your blog that way, then the visitors who are interested - like me - could hop over and see the exif info of your photos. You know, apertures, exposure times, focal lengths and stuff like that. Like here:

Gravatar I loved this post...and the others I read on your blog. Photos do, indeed, build bridges between generations. I'll have more to say on that this month in my free mini-course on writing a personal history at my site. Thanks for posting this.

Gravatar Beautiful pictures. Childhood brought up wonderful memories for everyone. This was my first time and it was great.
Thank you for your complement. We love the toy. Tigger says hello to you to.
Samantha & Tigger

Gravatar I bet she's grown into a very fine young lady, she sure has a nice mom to thank for that. My fav. was by the water. Beautiful.

Gravatar What great shots - the duck one is gorgeous!
Thanks for the visit!

Gravatar Hi! I'm sorry for my late visit. Thanks for sharing these lovely photos of your daughter's childhood. I love the first photo. Her smile makes her look like a real princess. Oh, I know that game, I had one like that when I was a child. Carousels are fun. My son loves riding carousels too.

Thanks for visiting my photo hunt. The jumper was actually my school uniform in 2nd grade.

Gravatar I love merry go round too!!! Lovely photos. Thanks for sharing...

Gravatar Thanks for publishing these beautiful photos from your family! We are the european friends, Claudia and Oliver, maybe Stephen mentioned us. We sometimes have a look on your blogsite and enjoy your extraordinary photos.
