A very happy birthday to you, Roxanne, and welcome to the world of Senior Citizenship! I qualify for those discounts, but have yet to take advantage of them... Great idea on Stephen's part to send sunflowers to you in the middle of January.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROXANNE!!!
I started getting all the AARP stuff when I hit 50, 2 years ago. It keeps on coming and coming. The husband just turned 60 on the 8th so I'm sure that'll bring a whole new bombardment of ads.
Love your flowers, too. Sunflowers are some of my very favorites. Have a great day!

Happy birthday! I should have remembered, because it is close to Sarah's.
Welcome to the fold! You've earned any discount offered to you.
It's always good to see when you have a new post up.

You know I was wondering what Senior citizen age was myself. But, Happy Birthday Roxanne. Lovely flowers, you have a wonderful brother who is very thoughtful.

Hi,
I'm late but it's well meant by heart:
Happy B D.
I think we deserve this small rabate. Yeah.
You know, when in Vancouver BC in 06, I was allways granted a senior Ticket. Still not here in Norway (with one exception on Christmas day 4 years ago - my white hair and a very young Train Ticket seller - hahaha)

I've almost missed it - but I hope you had a great birthday, Roxanne. Your sunflowers are lovely!
I had a white-haired friend once who was not a senior citizen. She was given discounts everywhere she went, and she complained about it. I said if someone was going to give me a discount without asking how old I was - I'd take all I could get...LOL

Happy belated Birthday!
Those flowers are gorgeous, so sunny! What a thoughtful brother you have.
From your commenton your blog it seems the weather remembered your birthday too and bought you a little snow which is cool. I wish we had more here too, despite the disruption it can cause.

When does the Senior thing officially start? I've been offered the discount every time I shop on a Wednesday for several years...its the hair, I suppose. I've started to just enjoy the savings, because why not? Sometimes the *insult* is worth 10 bucks! Terry's SS payments start in March - whew! He really is old-er.
Those are spectacular roses - and sunflowers in January!!!

Many happy returns Roxanne...your birthday is four days before mine. This senior citizen business has its bonuses as I will find out this year. Congratulations to us!

Happy Birthday, late I guess. What a sweet brother you have.
I think the senior discount is at the business's discretion. I always ask for it at clothing stores like Khol's and Goodies.
