Talk To Me

Gravatar I respect your opinion even if I do not understand. Little sad, though.

Gate City Endorses Bush, Burr, Bowie, Amendement One, and GTCC bonds on his blog today.

Gravatar Thanks for saying you respect my opinion then undermining that respect with your sad comment.

Wait, I get it. That's like Bush saying he respects Kerry's military service while having his Swift Flunkies talk shit.

You should pick better role models.

Gravatar Frankly, I find it hard to respect someone's opinion who hides behind anonymity.

Gravatar Did not mean you were sad, just that you were not voting for Bush. Give Keeper some credit.

Welcome to the mini-van world, Eakes.

Gravatar For the record, I have never mocked Kerry's military service. Have you not heard my spiel about Bush keeping the skies of Texas safe from the Viet Cong? What a hero he was.

Gravatar Read my blog, Marian. When I am not talking about Angelina Jolie to build up readership (as Cone says, people like to read about Dogs and Babes, I just cater to the masses) I have some stuff that is kind of thoughtful.

Gravatar Your #1 reason was that you dislike "VooDoo" economics. You do realize that the choice of Kerry means that all spending should be government spending or government-endorsed spending. Do you honestly believe that government knows better what to do with your money than you do?

Gravatar I did read your blog Gate City before I posted my comment and my point still stands. Besides, I'm pretty sure I know who you are.

Gravatar Ogre, you do realize that your assertion that support of Kerry means all spending should be governmental is absurd.

The government is in the unique position to provide services for the common good that individuals cannot provide, such as the military and the internet. I own a successful business and pay plenty into the collective pot. When the government spends, much of that money flows into the private sector.

Voodoo economics is based on the myth that dramtically cutting the upper bracket tax rates increases revenues to the government. It failed under Reagan, and it has failed again.

I am not suggesting that we need to return to a top bracket rate of 70%. I do believe that if Bush had maintained the framework he inherited, we would be in much better financial shape.

If we ever manage to erase our national debt, and that is the road we were on four years ago, we can cut everyone's taxes to reflect the elimination of debt service from our budget.

Gravatar Glad we got this cleared up. Thanks for reading my blog, folks.

I think tomorrow I will talk more on the divide politics puts between people. Also tale of my 4yr old Godson following Bush's lead of preemptive strikes while on playground. Not my fault.
