Soldier, I have been reading your words for a long time. It has been one experience I shall never forget. I have cried at your words. I have worried about you as well as the rest of The Troops.
It feels good reading this entry knowing your Spirit is still intact after all you have seen and been through.
I thank you and your family for the time you had to spend away. Your deployment has been a learning experience for me as an American and a Mother.
I found you while surfing and I stumbled upon Patrick Eakes, I still visit Patricks site. I hope you allow him to give an update once in awhile, the next four years could bring many changes for you and I would like to keep track of them.

I am writing a talk for a Christian Retreat we have four times a year. My Talk is "Perseverance". I am so excited to have found this blog site that paints a perfect picture of perseverance....it's inspired me and helped build the talk that will be a great example on how to persevere in this world. There will be women there who are dealing with daily problems to women who've lost children in adccidents. I am even more excited that the soldier is a christian...I hope to encourage 42 women with journal entries from this site. I realize today, that his 20 year goal is complete!
