Disgraceful. If it wasn't apparent before, it's apparent now - Rivers carried Amato.

Not pretty. I was watching the game in the clubhouse after playing golf and State came back from death. Then I get home and my wife tells me they lost.
Stupid penalty. Celebrating after scoring a TD against Akron. WTF were they thinking?????

State fans are dreaming of Cowher.
Considering he has a new Super Bowl ring and the longest current tenure in the NFL, it is curious that the Steelers failed to extend his contract during the off-season. They have a policy not to negotiate contracts during the season, and he has two years, including the current one, left.
I can only imagine Cowher coming to State if he was motivated to prove he could win on the college level and wanted to do it at his alma mater. Still, a fan can dream....

Oh, Dear, Dear Eakes. I'm so sorry your team lost! And to Akron? What? Little Sister of the Poor already booked that day?

Ummm.....I realize that you guys weren't planning on losing to the Zips. However, Akron is a Division 1-A program and have been for quite some time. To say that they only have 2 wins against 1-A teams in there entire history is just not true. Last year the Zips won the Mid-American Conference and went to the Motor City Bowl. If I'm not mistaken...you need more than 2 wins to go to a bowl game.
