Talk To Me

Gravatar Deepest condolences to the Eakes family, Patrick, and deepest thanks for the sacrifice of Lance Eakes.

Gravatar You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Gravatar To all who knew Lance and those who just wish they did! You, Lance, were an awesome person. Your mothers pride and joy. What a terrific job you did at all you attempted. This too son is a terrific job. You paid the highest price to put others first. We will never forget you or lose sight of what you were fighting for. I will remind my chidren for years to come to be the person to whom you would die for. Thank you sweet boy who grew to such a strong man.

Gravatar My son Josh Freeman was Lance's room mate in Iraq and was the the driver of the humvee when they hit the IED... my son's physical wounds will heal, but his heart won't ..losing his brother in arms... being with Lance when he died... my child grieves hard... and I grieve with them...Lance made Iraq tolerable for my child...

Gravatar Rest in Peace Lance. Your death will effect many lives but what you did in Iraq will too.

Gravatar Our hearts were broken at the news of Lance's passing. We watched him grow from a young boy to an honorable young man. We were proud to have known one of the many soldiers that have fought for our freedoms. He and his family did pay the ultimate price for that freedom and we will never forget what Lance and all the other great soldiers have fought for. Lance was the pride and joy of his mother and father and our thoughts and prayers are with them as they say goodbye to their one and only brave son in this life. Lance, we will always remember your life here and look forward to being with you again one day in our eternal lives in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends...

Gravatar Mr. Eakes,

Our deepest condolences on the loss of your cousin. We in Apex are in a bit of shock as one of our own has fallen. Our prayers go out to you and all of Lance's family and friends.

Gravatar Patrick, my deepest condolences to you and your family. We appreciate and honor very much the sacrifice this young man has made.

Gravatar I grew up with Lance in Apex. I had the pleasure of having Lance in my close-knit group of friends through high school. Lance was always the life of the party. He was a fierce friend, with endless love. He was caring, selfless, and considerate. I'll never forget what he meant to my life. His memory will surely stay with me always. I'm so sorry for your family's loss, Patrick. I know what a huge loss it is.

Gravatar Lance wasn't just my cousin but also my brother! Like he was towards all of his other girl cousins! For me we were so close and I'll truely miss him but he'll live forever in my heart as the years go by! It's not easy to do but I know that I can make it as well for the rest of my family! Lance you'll forever be missed but you'll never be forgotten! And you should by happy I went to the prom like you would want me too and your DUCk looked pretty just like you told your mom to make sure of lol! Love you brother and I'll come back to you soon!

Love always,
Your DUCKIE!
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO!

Gravatar Patrick, I'm so sorry for your family's loss ... and grateful for Lance's willingness to serve.

Gravatar Oh, I'm so very very sorry. What a difficult time for your entire family.

Gravatar My condolences and prayers go out to you and your family.

I just found out about SGT Eakes passing through the Army Times publication.

I knew Lance from Basic Training. He and I were "Battle Buddies" throughout 17 weeks of BCT and AIT.

He was always there for everyone. He would not hesitate to help someone in need. Whether it was helping someone with an assigned task or just having a conversation with someone going through a tough time.

RIP Lance O. Eakes
