Maybe there's a reason for it -- why do you keep misspelling Barack Obama's name? I'm sorry, I love this blog, but that kinda bothers me, at least if it's unintentional. The guy has a C in there: BaraCk. I'm probably not the first to point it out. Please ignore if the misspelling is on purpose.

So does his career as an FBI informant mean that the Secret Service will ignore Hal Turner? Should we just start calling him Jack Ruby now or wait until some knuckle-dragging Freeper or Klansman follows his instructions?

Corporal Waldo, I must disagree. If the past 16 years of matrimony have shown me anything, it is that not-men ARE NOT receptive to a little back door action. You can still see the scratches from the last time I thought to try that approach.
The consensus in the barracks is that not-men can't enjoy that act - they don't have prostates. Or so I'm told.

I'm with SeattleDan on this. Hal's only the tip of the iceberg. This meme has been going around at least since Ted Kennedy's endorsement, and was probably planted by Rove himself. Or maybe Cheney. Either one is evil enough to start it.

The real tragedy of this incident is the death of Jimmy Leshkevich by his own hand. He was a good and decent man who supported and loved his family. He publicly stood-up for his race despite being reviled for it.
"He was a good and decent man." Feh. The only GOOD part of this story is that Mr. Leshkevich removed himself from the gene pool and thwarted his mutation from being passed on.

Lets pray real hard that all "decent" folk can be part of this reunion.
And Hal, don't worry, the FBI won't abandon you. Thats them at the door now.

IF HE WAS A REAL MAN...
Hal Turner must be a gay jew muslim hippie pussy for suggesting that someone else "make certain this guy is never allowed to hold the most powerful office in the world" rather than breaking out his own arsenal and personally being "1) Willing to kill for our beliefs, AND; 2) Not afraid to die."
And why should he be, "Sorry it may have to be that way", if he really believed that?
Yeah, he sounds more & more like an FBI agent provocateur every minute.
And please pardon my French.

An outdated Constitution that unwittingly puts fatal power in even the most hideously inappropriate hands, and in doing so engenders a whole national psychosis whereby even the dullest are emboldened to stand out to voice the most immature and worrisome opinions.
It makes such confusing, dated demands of the population that it effectively offers no direction for decent behaviour, consequently those who need direction have to fall back onto still older edicts like the Bible.
... or so I figger ...

Jimmy Leshkevich dead by his own hand... and evil in the world is thus decreased by an iota.
If Hal turner's site were liberal-progressive, instead of a white supremiscist/neocon/ultra-conservative blog that it is, everybody involved, including all visiters to the site would already be in GITMO or its equivalent. The GOP/conservative movement is no different in any appreciable way that I can discern from the brown-shirted thugs of the SA.
I'm going to find a way to send Turner's webiste address to the Secret Service.

I dunno, fuggedaboudit, I think yer giving people an easy out. I don’t think the problem is with the Constitution, I think it’s with us. We’ve abdicated all responsibility for the political process. We’ve let the wankers take control and we’ve done nothing to take it back. The Constitution gives us the right to speak out, organize and vote. Truly, that oughta be enough firepower to take our country back. Fact is, we chose not to, if ya ask me.

democommie, when that guy Cunningham was saying all that vile stuff, the people gathered there to hear McCain were clapping and laughing and yucking it up. They were agreeing with the creep.
This afternoon on MSNBC some republican talking head said all the guy was doing was saying Obama's middle name and if the Obama campaign had a problem with that maybe Obama should change his name.
He was saying much much more than Obama's middle name.
Thing is, McCain apologized for what the guy said long before we heard anything from the Obama people.
Tonight CNN has invited Cunningham to be a guest on one of their shows. I guess they want to give the idiot more air time and more chances to gain more fans for his radio show. Why in the hell they would want him on is beyond me. Maybe they wanted to grab him before Fox could get him.

The intensity of the Obama campaign, or the intensity of the swift-boat-style smears against him? If this is the worst the Rove Machine can do--and I think it is, because the Repugs would rather run against HRC--then the campaign has no worries.
I agree with DvE in part. We The People did abdicate our role in making our democratic republic work. But we were up against tremendous odds. Ever since corporations were granted legal personhood, the Corporatocracy has been the Decider. Not us, and not GWB. Judging by the comments left on the boards at my local newspaper, most Americans are content to get their information from television and right-wing talk radio. Their critical thinking skills have atrophied to the point of disappearing.
democratic socialist |
02.26.08 - 7:39 pm | #
Well, DS, I think you've got it just about right. But it's the atrophying of those critical thinking skills I'm talking about. I think we've let that happen. And by "we," I mean all of us.
Ya know, my folks were middle class white suburbanites who grew up in the Great Depression and WWII. Most of their peers were solid Eisenhower Republicans in the 50's, but my folks didn't fall into that trap. They got heavily involved in the local civil rights movement (no insignificant thing, in that my home town - Oak Park, Illinois - became one of the first communities in the country that actually tried to make integration and open housing work) and they never looked back. They believed people could change the world, even white middle class suburbanites, if they really tried. And you know what? They did change the world.
Now, my generation cares more about Brittney Fucking Spears than whether or not the U.S. practices torture. Talk about moving in fucking retrograde.
So, I share your sense of pessimism. I just think we're to blame.
Say, how's that for a spin on Obama's "We're the ones we have been looking for"?
"We're the ones we should point the finger at!"
Cheers!

The thrust (ahem) of my post was that Hal and Jim are of that style of man that doesn't make love to a woman. They brutalise her, they demean her, they subject her to their perversions because they're fucking sadists! They don't give a fuck about women except that they submit! They also take pleasure doing the same to their friends by tagging their wives.
Hal is a pulsinaminous snake who likes to incite violence, as demonstrated by his post. That he would stir his poison into his contemporaries lives so as to cause mayhem is a given.
That said, how are you so knowledgable about prostates and not men?

Actually NON!
Pardon is an Old French word (pardun or perdun) incorporated into the English language by the Normans.
In Modern French the word would be either pardon(N) or pardonner(V).
