The recent hill stations that LK has been to had only guides, cars and trucks. And the sounds that one can hear are buzzing of the guides like mosquitos and honking. So its quite hard to believe when you hear such strange sounds and people say that they are insects, especially when you can't see any
Insects have refused to stay in cities like Hyderbad and Mumbai, its just black fumes and hopeless people all around. The last cricket, earthworm or grasshopper I saw was during the college days, now I see them only in stockholm

Clearly I am with Loonie-Kiwi, considering the fact that writer edits parts of the story as to how he gets to Matheran in the first place!!!! I have my doubts about the amount of tweeking of facts that has gone into this post.
