I know this all too well now.

I had a guy come up and ask if the Buy One Get One Free sticker means that the other book he chooses with the same sticker is free.

There was no hint of humour about it. He was deadly in need of an answer... either that or culling.

Nevermind.

I'm great at insincerity, so I do all right. Although I did have a 'tone' when a guy expected me to give him a £40 book free just because he'd picked up some chick-lit for his other half.

Dumb beyond words!

"No sir, you're looking for the red stickers that correspond with the deal."

ACTUALLY... no! Give that man a bookshop! I'll use his logic and get myself a shit load of books! GOD!
