Oh I think in a way cats are the highest form of life. They get what they want and need without the skills that humans have. They are magical!

Gravatar Congratulations! As you know we are cat people... with 6 cats at the moment (I know, really too many, but what can you do?). It makes for more work (clean the litter every day, feed, keep the cat hair off the furniture and out of the air, etc.) But they do make us laugh a lot and this alone is good... and there's "something" about cats. I know it sounds crazy, but its as if they "know" more than they're telling.

Gravatar Thanks, Beth.
I don't know about anyone else's allergies but I can't stay too long anywhere in a house where a cat lives. Maybe one of those new-fangled allergy-free ones would be okay...

Gravatar Hey, mazeltov on the schmutz kitty!

I am seriously thinking about getting a cat now that my daughter (who is allergic) has left the nest.... I figure as long as I keep it out of "her" room, she will be ok on her visits. But not TOO comfortable,if you know what I mean, lol!

Gravatar As a matter of fact, kitty had the surgery on Monday and it ended up involving the entire family, as Mark, gf and I were bowling when it needed to be picked up, so Rob was elected and the Housemate (aka cat's grandfather) went along... neither of them are cat people but it survived.
We feel sorry for it but know it's the right thing to do.

Gravatar I do hope kitty gets sterilized before the heat cycle sets in and drives them nuts.

We once had a 20 lb. cat, no wait we have had two at that size. Cats are like people, easy to put weight on but hard to take it off!
