As I pointed out to the InfoZone, the recusal issue is moot. Somewhere on Andrew Coyne's post about recusal is a link to the actual document. Emerson can work on files of a general nature, just not those specific to CanFor.
CanFor's interests are congruent with Canada's, i.e. "solve softwood." Should negotiations get down to nitty-gritty, by company, details, Emerson would have to bail.
At the level the talks are currently (and will likely remain) Emerson is 'good to go.'
As Shakespeare would say, much ado about nothing.
