I agree with most sentiments that have been blogged to more deaths on the internet than the civilan casualties in Lebanon in the past 2,000 years combined.
The fact is that Israel appears to be achieving more collateral damage and less terrorist killing than people would like. Like all unilateral invasions, it hasn't been the most popular either...
You put it so succinctly. It's a no-brainer:

That pretty much says it.
Balbulican, I think that vitriol spewed against Islam, specifically Islamism, is overstatred, no doubt about it. But that doesn't mean that there is no problem. I find that when Muslims start publicly and loudly acknowledging Israel's right to exist, especially in the Middle East, there will be a greater prospect for peace, and I think Muslims will have more moral high ground to make their case about Israeli abuses. But until Israel's right to exist is acknowledged, the protests ring hollow. Israel may be wrong in some of its methods, but it has the right to defend itself.
And what, pray tell, is the "wake up call"? Get on board with killing civilians with artillery or you're al Qaeda?
Hell, maybe I am then.
And now they're coming for the Canadian Muslims...and are you speaking for them?
And what if "they" are the United States government?
