It was an interesting article, but it never really seemed that he provided enough evidence to prove his thesis that the administration's foreign policy is decidely out of the mainstream of the American tradition. I'm not saying that it's not, it's just that the article did not do enough to prove Fukayama's point.
He's on a very good panel at the upcoming American Political Science Association conference this weekend in DC, and hopefully I'll get a chance to see what he has to say and whether he expands on this thesis.

For anyone who is interested and is a student or member of APSA, the panel is on Friday at 2, and its called "The End of the Bush Revolution?: Democratization, Unilateralism, and Preemption in American Foreign Policy." Other panelists are G. John Ikenberry, John Mearsheimer, and Jeffrey W. Legro. It's at the Omni Shoreham in Woodley Park.
