I must say that as a homosexual who is struggling what to do about it in the Church, I still do not appreciate the use of the term "fag" or "pervert" to describe me or the other homosexuals I know, including my own mother -- no matter the reason that the perhaps well-intentioned authors decided to use them. The fact is that, whether or not they have a different dictionary definition, these words are extremely hurtful to homosexuals. I would therefore recommend that if anyone is having trouble with using the word "gay," perhaps they should use the language of the Church -- "homosexual persons."

I do want to say that I enjoy your blog(s), Dr. Blosser, and that this is in no way a response to you, but to the men you wrote about in your blog entry.
