In addition to the many fine works you reference, Michael L. Peterson has edited a series titled "Exploring the Philosophy of Religion." I own two contributions from that series:

Hebblethwaite, Brian. _Philosophical Theology and Christian Doctrine_. Oxford, UK and Malden, MA: Blackwell, 2005.

Hoffman, Joshua and Gary Rosenkrantz. _The Divine Attributes_. Oxford, UK and Malden, MA: Blackwell, 2002.

Both works are written by analytic thinkers. However, the latter book is more analytic in tone than the former recommendation.

Gravatar Dr. Phil,

We used Fr. Brian Davis' anthology here in Rutgers. I thought it wasn't bad. What are your thoughts on that book?

The Haldane/Smart book I enjoyed too.

Gravatar I got a lot of help from Colin Brown's 'Philosophy Christian Faith' (IVP).

Gravatar Apolonio,

I find Fr. Davis' work unobjectionable. He's very clear in his own way. I do think his background in the Anglo/Analytic tradition narrows his vision perhaps just a bit so as to miss some of the more historically and theologically nuanced points one might make, as in his book on St. Thomas. But he's clearly a good guy.
