I have never understood the allusion to Kansas City as a storehouse of "crazy little women".

First, is this meant to suggest that "crazy little women" are in short supply elsewhere?

Second, is the abundance of "crazy little women" supposed to be a net plus for Kansas City?

Third, is it a mere accident that said abundance coincides with the apparent abundance (and frequent consumption) of "Kansas City wine"? Or is there a causal relationship Wilbert Harrison chose not to explore?

All in all, I find the song quite puzzling.
