Why would we want girls serving at the altar, regardless of which form of the Mass we attend? We have, for those who haven't noticed, a priest shortage. Girls can't be priests, so there's no point in encouraging them or mandating that they serve. Boys, on the other hand, should be encouraged.

So now, those antagonistic to the Gregorian Mass need not even use fallacious arguments, foot stomping, or breath holding to put a stop to it. All they need do is pull out a female altar server and the deal's off. Hmmn. Seems their job just got way easier. Please, Lord: a crystal-clear statement from Rome regarding the Motu Proprio. Some full-metal legislation wouldn't hurt, either. Amen.
