Saying that allowing people that are gay to marry threatens heterosexual marriage is like saying that childless couples by choice threaten those couples with children and while having a child or not is a choice being gay is not. You are born being who you are and as a result should not be prevented from forming a legal bond with someone you love and affording the two of you protections that this legal bond provides.
