Oh no! Change in general is hard, but especially so when it comes so violent and unexpected. Sometimes Mother Nature decides to reclaim what we've taken, no matter what WE want.
dear sutliff...at the corner of madison avenue and swine boulevard...remember the sign post? it doubtless was erected by the same solid citizens who added the bar and grill to the store once electricity was available. i used to have a photo of this sign, but no more.
The Iowa floods are so awful....and have been all over the news yet. We have had our share of flooding here in Illinois...and even Wisconsin, but nothing compared to Iowa....I feel so awful for everyone going through it. I've never seen so many natural disasters over the past couple of years across the country...and really the whole world. It's frightening. Global Warming??
The floods in Iowa have been just terrible. This comes on top of all the tornadoes and terrible weather hey have had there this spring. Unfortunately they barely mention it on the evening news now. They did right when the floods hit, but now they've got more important things to report on I guess.

Thank you for this blog. I had heard about the floods on Radio 5 live, Rod Sharp. It all sounded dreadful.
Your countrymen have stickability and will rise up from this and get on as best they can. We all do this at somtimes.
