Please leave any questions or suggestions about topics for my Microsoft Word workshop on March 12, 2005 on this page. All fields are optional, so if you don't want to leave your e-mail address, website URL, or even real name, that's fine.
I will post notes and further information at www.penmachine.com/ word in the future.

Will you cover document security, i.e. version control and tracking changes to documents? Is there some way Word can "lock" a document in order to prevent unauthorized changes when more than one user has access to a document held in a shared directory?

Hi (again) Derek,
Sent you this via email a day or two ago but it may have not made it past your spam filters.....

Thought that you might be interested in this little snippet as I know that you offer courses on using Word which makes you a, well, a guru.
A client of mine sent me a screen shot of a Word 2004 error; the dreaded "Disk is full or too many files are open" error.
There were hundreds of sites on the internet helping people like me get around this lovely error. Yours was one of them. I had read your post before and even some of the links from it. None of them were from Word 2004 though.
I am not sure if there is something odd that he is doing but I understood that this long standing problem with Word had been fixed in Office 2004.
Perhaps, it would seem, not?
I am interested to hear if you know of anyone else getting this in Word 2004....
I'm still reading your blog on a daily basis and thanks in part to the advice you gave me last

Hi Derek,
Will we be covering macros? Especially about creating your own ones?
Thanks.
