Gravatar Strictly speaking, this is only true if the variation in height of the legs is less than the variation in height of the ground. This only happens if it's the ground that's uneven and the table is good. As often as not, I find it's the table that's "off."

If the wobblyness is indeed caused by uneven ground, then you can easily find a good fit. Don't lift up the table - just rotate and slide it until the "lifted" leg hits the ground. Then stop.
