(growing up in my small town just about all the girls had Ann/Anne for a middle name. or Lynn. or Jo. and many of us went by our full names. you don't see that much anymore.)
I like it. I'd like to do the very same thing.
(My middle name is Mary).

celia- Anne is my middle name and Ann is my older sister's middle name. I used to think my parents had no imagination. Then they came up with John(lucky for my brother),Jeanne, and Erin.
elsie- You will have to thank my husband for the idea. That picture was taken on a hiking trip with a friend. We stopped to take pictures and our friend said, "Do something."
I reached up and grabbed the back of my soon-to-be husband's sweatshirt to yank it over his head and he dropped down into that position. I turned to see what he was doing and then looked back at our friend while suppressing a grin-that's when the photo was snapped.
When we decided to send out announcements we also decided to put a photo of the two of us inside. One afternoon we started going through photos and when we got to this one bob said we should use it. I laughed and said it was fine with me. I figured I picked the outside style he could pick the inside.
So far we have 3 people with the middle name Ann/Anne and one person with the middle name Mary. Other middle names?

For the record, my middle name is also Ann. That is my mother's middle name, and now I have made it my daughter's.
So far six Anne/Ann (I'm counting Jenny's mom and baby), one Mary, one middle initial only, and three N/M/I's.
Either Anne/Ann is the most popular middle name or people with the middle name of Anne/Ann are most likely to leave a comment on this post.
I don't know if mom ever told you the story of how you came to have the middle name Anne. She just had you and was worried since you were so ill. Dad was in Korea and his ship got hit, so that had her all freaked out too. Then they came in wanting a name for you. Colleen had already been picked out but she had no middle name. Mom was not in the mood to brainstorm and was going to leave you without. The nurse insisted that you must have a middle name. All she could think of was Michele's Ann, so she said "Anne" but spell it with an "e". So if it weren't for that nurse you wouldn't have known when mom was really mad at you either.
PS all, I'm the Erin of the lot.
My first middle name is Anne as well (and very mundane it's feeling at the moment). The other one is my mother's first name. Apparently she didn't need it any more or something. My first first name is my own.
M- You're right, I never heard that story. Glad that nurse was insistent.
e- Yeaaa, another Anne.
My one sister's middle name (Jeanne)is our mother's first name and, if I remember this story right, is also because of a nurse's intervention.
HEY! Tell the story of why Jeanne is my middle name! What nurse? I thought my FIRST name was switched at birth from Deidra, which mom wanted to what I have now....I thought mom named me her middle name because I was her favorite. Ha. Ha.

All of us(the girls) were going to be named Deidra first, remember? And yes, you were Mom's favorite.
How many of you girls are there? I've counted three so far I think, but it could be more. Any brothers in there at all?
With me, there are four girls and we have one brother.
