Sounds like a close run thing and good to hear they escaped OK. Interesting that, despite what sounded like quite an impact, the plane didn't explode. Does that mean movies aren't true?

drD- No, it is harder to get an airplane to explode in real life than in "reel" live. Small piston engines use AVGAS, which is closer to car type gasoline that jet fuel. Short article on the differences here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avi...i/ Aviation_fuel
