I've wondered about the origins of that pronunciation - any ideas? For example in the states, the name 'Joshua' is not, as far as I know, pronounced 'Josh wär' or is it?

Now that the company is Indian owned maybe we'll all have to learn a new pronunciation...

I was at an event where it was introduced by an ex CEO/President of Jaguar. I'm paraphrasing here, but basically he said: "When you pay that much for a car, you can say it however you like."
